UNSW Alumni Chapters
International chapters have been formed in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia by active alumni members keen to maintain contacts with the University and contribute to the growth of UNSW’s reputation in the Asia Pacific region.
Domestically, the formation of the Victorian Chapter of the Alumni Association, the first interstate alumni Chapter in Australia, gives a voice to UNSW’s large graduate population in Victoria, and the University is working to establish Chapters in other states nationally. The College of Fine Arts Chapter offers fine arts graduates a range of specific benefits and activities; likewise the Law Alumni Chapter provides a vital information base for law graduates.
The Pioneers’ Group was formed in 1999 in recognition of the contribution of UNSW’s first graduates and staff to the University’s success. This special group of people share the pioneering spirit of the University and have played an important role in establishing its position and reputation and securing its future. This group enjoys special events including luncheons, high profile lectures and networking opportunities. The Alumni Associates group comprised of former staff and friends of UNSW also meet regularly through a range of activities and events.
All enrolled UNSW students automatically became members of Student Alumni Associates, an affiliated group of the Alumni Association, which offers a range of services, including a leadership training program, and links students to the vibrant world wide community of alumni for personal and professional networking. The Student-Alumni Committee works to promote closer relations between students and alumni by organizing student-alumni events and networking opportunities.
