NAME: Ann Mcleod
CLASS OF: 1970
MEMORY OF UNSW:
My memories are freedom from the strict confines of a Girls School. 394 or 396 Bus from the city, back to back lectures from the lower campus and the hill climb to the Arts Building, lounging in the Roundhouse with creamy Vienna coffees, long hair and jeans, lectures in science theatre, rock concerts, Tharunka, - this was life.
NAME: Andrew Tosti
CLASS OF: 1986
MEMORY OF UNSW:
I think my most memorable experience was panicking for an exam and being among the many crowds of other students. I was looking for a quiet out of the way place to do some last minute study. I found it in the Vice Chancellors garden. I’ve been back and it has been changed however I always remember it as being a quiet and peaceful place to be alone and focus a bit in such a huge campus.

NAME: Enice Warren
CLASS OF: 1990 & 1993
MEMORY OF UNSW:
UNSW will always remain a benchmark in my life - it is where I earned both my degrees, where I made many friends who remain dear to me, where I grew up and learnt to think for myself, where I hope to one day send my children to be educated.
NAME: Commissioner Kevin Hoffman
CLASS OF: 1966
MEMORY OF UNSW:
The Roundhouse, built in the 1960’s when all the students could fit into it, was where we became a "student body" for the first time. Camaraderie, student action meetings, wild balls, sports and social activity groups, the awareness of being part of the University, of having an opinion, and fighting for it.
NAME: Clarice Kozanecki
CLASS OF: 1994
MEMORY OF UNSW:
As I was 65 years of age on commencing my Arts Course in 1989 I had rather fixed views on social matters. When I gained a B.A. degree in 1993-94, I was and am grateful to the University for giving me an understanding of social injustices particularly in Aboriginal matters.

NAME: Leanne Tam
CLASS OF: 1993 & 1998
MEMORY OF UNSW:
During one of my astronomy classes at the Observatory I saw the planet Saturn with its rings. It was a most brilliant and spectacular sight. Being a part-time student I missed many on-campus activities so I only remember my classes.
NAME: Gregory Wong
CLASS OF: 1975 &1987
MEMORY OF UNSW:
The students’ willingness to help University staff in trouble. During one geological excursion the lecturers’ VW Beetle suffered a broken fanbelt. A student kindly offered his "G" pick as the universal tool. After much bashing and bruised knuckles, the car was successfully repaired!

NAME: Thomas Chui
CLASS OF: 1991
MEMORY OF UNSW:
Approximately ten minutes into Orientation Day, I realised that my life had just taken a new course. Trite and unoriginal as it sounds, the campus tour was a glimpse of not only the next four years, but of possibly the rest of my life.
NAME: Francis Gardner
CLASS OF: 1952
MEMORY OF UNSW:
It is my hope to enjoy my most memorable experience at UNSW in approximately two years time. Having received my degree in Mining Engineering on 15th March 1952 in the Great Hall at Sydney University, I, like quite a few others, have not had the pleasure of receiving one of the most important documents in my life, at the establishment where it was earned. I have suggested this as a project for the year 2002.
NAME: Hartono Kurniawan Adji
CLASS OF: 1998
MEMORY OF UNSW:
The fountain in front of School of Electrical Engineering building. There used to be a big tree with its artistic roots. We used to have meetings there. Unfortunately nowadays UNSW doesn’t have enough big trees anymore.
