Peter Chris Comino

memory4
NAME: Peter Chris Comino
CLASS OF: 1965 & 1972
MEMORY OF UNSW:
What I remember about UNSW is the best advice for a Psychologist:- put on a brave and cheerful face in this most uncertain and cynical world. Never reveal that it all seems like the great ball on the night before Waterloo but give rein to zest for life and good friendship!!!

NAME: Kerry Terrance
CLASS OF: 1999
MEMORY OF UNSW:
What I remember about UNSW is the lovely people that I met, some who have turned into good friends - the stimulation and broadening of horizons in thinking and awareness as a result of the wonderful teaching of lecturers such as Grant McCall and Michael Pusey.

Memory 4
NAME: Denis Flores
CLASS OF 1969
MEMORY OF UNSW:
What I remember about UNSW is In the early 60’s a lake appeared on Campus, as a Foundation Day prank, we stole on alligator from the zoo and released it into the lake. It was returned to the zoo in the boot of the Directors Rolls Royce, amid much publicity and fund raising (read extortion!)

NAME: John Fildissis
CLASS OF: 1990 & 1996
MEMORY OF UNSW:
My most moving & memorable moment was my last day at UNSW after 9 years of full/part-time study. I felt as though I was leaving behind the most significant learning experience of my life - I was right.

Memory 4
NAME: Marianne Nilsson
CLASS OF: 1967
MEMORY OF UNSW:
What I remember about UNSW is sitting exams in the old buildings on the west side of Anzac Parade. On one occasion in 1961 we had a Maths exam on Saturday morning & the University Regiment band practiced "Colonel Bogey" through the entire exam! Nearly 40 years later hearing that tune always reminds me of UNSW.

NAME: Ms. Miriam Bauers
CLASS OF: 1986
MEMORY OF UNSW:
As a mature age student and single parent I struggled with work, study & childcare. It shocks me today to return to campus and see the extensive building work and still no childcare? Please tell me I am wrong. My children fished in the Vice Chancellors pond/ played havoc in the library lifts, climbed onto the Blue Room roof and "performed" and all because I had limited money & options. Come on UNSW - do it now!

Memory 4
NAME: Helena Zobec
CLASS OF: 1983
MEMORY OF UNSW:
As a school leaver who was "shopping around" for which University I wanted to study at, I recall vividly going to the UNSW Open Day. It was on that day that I decided that UNSW was to be my choice. It had a good feel about it and gave me some of my favourite undergraduate memories.

NAME: Erhard Gohl
CLASS OF: 1956
MEMORY OF UNSW:
My most memorable experience was when I passed my final examinations at the end of 1955 with the moving experience of seeing tears of joy and pride in my parents eyes.

NAME: Dr. Catherine De Luca
CLASS OF: 1984
MEMORY OF UNSW:
What I remember about UNSW is there is nothing outstanding to report. I completed a standard master’s degree at the School of Pathology. I enjoyed the mentorship of Gory and the Professor as well as being part of the Collegium Musicom Choir under the directorship of Patricia Brown and Roger Covell. The University is conveniently close to home. Being part of an academic institution on its own is a memorable time.
