Major donors honoured by UNSW Chancellor

The University of New South Wales celebrates its 60th Anniversary in 2009 and Chancellor David Gonski AC hosted an event (July 28, 2009) to honour and thank UNSW’s generous major donors.
The recognition of donors took place at a small, private reception in the CBD hosted by David Gonski. Guests included representatives from corporations and foundations as well as individual donors, and senior UNSW staff, including the UNSW Vice-Chancellor, Professor Fred Hilmer AO, Deans from all faculties and the UNSW Foundation Board.

The major donors honoured at the event are among the many who have worked with UNSW to build new capital works, invest in research, offer a growing number of scholarships for talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds and build centres of excellence such as the Centre for Social Impact.
