UNSW is one of Australia's leading research intensive universities. While we conduct research across a wide range of disciplines, we are investing additional resources in areas where we feel we can make a difference. This involves building on existing strengths in fields where we are already a world leader, as well as identifying emerging problems and opportunities, and moving to meet the challenge.
Community Engagement at UNSW is one of the cornerstones of our mission. Our objective is to make an impact on contemporary issues by being recognised as a key source of expertise in our communities, ensuring vibrant and growing partnerships, and developing and maintaining highly valued relationships with alumni, former staff and UNSW supporters.
The student experience at UNSW ensures a learning and teaching environment that provides exposure to teaching excellence, outstanding research opportunities, a vibrant campus life, international engagement and infrastructure and services to address students' educational, personal and financial needs.
UNSW has a broad disciplinary base, with Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences; Built Environment; Engineering; Law; Medicine; Science; the College of Fine Arts; the Australian School of Business and the Australian Defence Force Academy.
