ALUMNI & SUPPORTERS

Victorian Chapter

The Victorian Chapter of the UNSW Alumni Association was launched in 2002 and is growing steadily. More interesting functions and activities are planned.

The Chapter provides an opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones, to strengthen links with UNSW and offers a range of networking opportunities and
special benefits for Chapter members. The Chapter President, Dr Rob Lee, is always on the lookout for good ideas about activities.

Keeping in touch by email

The Victorian Chapter will keep you updated about events and functions for UNSW graduates living or working in Victoria. An e-newsletter is distributed regularly by the Chapter about what's happening. Alumni can make sure they receive their copy by sending their preferred email address to: alumni@unsw.edu.au

Please help us to keep your other contact details current too and make sure you receive your copy of UNSWorld, the magazine for all alumni wherever they live. You can do this by email to the above address ( alumni@unsw.edu.au ) or by going online at www.alumniupdate.unsw.edu.au

UNSW Alumni membership of The Graduate Union in Melbourne

The Victorian Chapter of the UNSW Alumni Association has been granted a corporate membership of the Graduate Union of the University of Melbourne.

This membership entitles all UNSW Alumni to use the facilities of the Graduate Union at any time. There is no further entrance or membership fee.

The atmosphere is very friendly and informal, UNSW graduates need only mention that they are an alumnus of UNSW and quote our membership number. Please contact David Sparks, Chapter Secretary, for the membership details on (03) 9885 3414 or by email to the Alumni Relations office in Sydney: alumni@unsw.edu.au

The Graduate Union is both a postgraduate residential college (Graduate House) and a private club for graduates from all universities (University Graduates Club). The facilities include relaxing lounges, bar, reasonably priced buffet meals, library and reading room, fully equipped conference rooms and a court yard for relaxation or BBQs. After hours street parking is easily obtained and there is also a very large underground public parking station just across the road.

The staff organises monthly activities for members, such as film and theatre events, luncheons with stimulating speakers, women’s forums, reading groups etc. The Graduate Union is affiliated with many similar bodies in Europe, Asia and North America which UNSW alumni may now visit. Alumni can even make use of overnight accommodation where this is available.

As far as is practical the Victorian Chapter will use this facility for its functions in Melbourne. All UNSW Alumni are invited to make an early opportunity to go along to become familiar with the amenities available at Graduate House.

The address is: 224 Leicester Street, Carlton, Victoria. (Phone: (03) 9347 3428).
