Development of international alliances and partnerships

The University of New South Wales maintains a diversity of international alliances and partnerships in support of its research, development assistance and business activities. It also operates offshore offices in the key regional centres of Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong.

Partnerships with other global Universities operate at an individual academic/research level as well as at an institutional level where exchange programs, scholarships and joint projects support common professional goals. UNSW is also a member of several academic and research consortia including Universitas 21 and the Group of Eight.

UNSW offers various courses and programs in international locations, frequently in partnership with local institutions and appropriate agencies. Program quality is assured through adherence to consistent standards with the oversight of the Academic Board complemented by a reciprocal academic exchange program. Examples include the UNSW Foundation Year which is offered in Jakarta through an alliance with UniSadhuGuna; in Malaysia through an alliance with KDU College; and in New Zealand in collaboration with the University of Otago. The Masters of Commerce (M.Com) is offered in Beijing, China in association with the Beijing University of Aeronautical and Astro Physics (BUAA) and the Beijing Technology Exchange Training Centre.

The University's network of international alliances provides valuable opportunities and support for all UNSW partners and associates.
