UNSW also offers contract consultancies, research, the management of Intellectual Property (IP) and commercialisation through UNSW Global Consulting (a division of UNSW Global Pty Limited) and the Business Services Unit UNSW/Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA). NewSouth Innovations was the world’s first organisation established to commercialise university research and support the technology transfer that sees new products in the marketplace. Since it’s inception in 1959, Unisearch has filed some 1600 patents, and remains one of Australia’s largest patenting organisations.




Through UNSW Consulting and UNSW Faculties, government and business have access to consultants with the highest levels of expertise for contract research or short-term studies for problem solving.
