The theme for the 8th annual Brain Sciences UNSW Symposium is The Interactive Brain: Translational Neuroscience and will include presentations from invited speakers from USA and from other institutions in Sydney and Melbourne together with leading researchers from Brain Sciences UNSW. Dr James Blair, Chief of the Unit on Affective Cognitive Neuroscience, National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), will be giving the keynote address. Dr Blair has a strong research interest in neuro-cognitive systems mediating affect in humans and how these become dysfunctional in mood and anxiety disorders.
