This practical workshop presented by the Researcher Development Unit aims to help researchers understand the roles and responsibilities of a supervisor during a period from HDR accepting offer to confirmation of candidature.
Participants will be asked to examine expectations of a supervisor/student relationship, identify development needs of HDR students and commence drafting a plan for supervision during the confirmation timeframe.
Relevant and applicable policy and procedures and available support, especially from the Graduate Research School during key steps of the HDR confirmation process at UNSW, will also be discussed.
