Andrés Neuman (1977) is an Argentinian-Spanish novelist, short story writer, poet, essayist and blogger. Since the publication of his first novel Bariloche at the age of 22, Neuman has become one of the most celebrated writers of the new generation in Latin America. In 2009 he was awarded the Alfaguara Prize, one of the most prestigious Spanish language literary awards, for his novel Traveler of the Century. Andrés Neuman is in Australia as a guest of the Melbourne Writers’ Festival and Instituto Cervantes. He will be talking to students and the general public. The event will be chaired by Diana Palaversich.
