and apply for the degree that's right for you.

Choosing a university degree is challenging, but you can make the decision-making process easier by taking a structured approach to finding out which program is suitable for you.
Talk
Talk to everyone about degrees that turn your strengths into a career. Start by thinking about your strengths, interests, hobbies and the subjects you enjoyed at school. With this in mind, speak with plenty of people to help you think about which degree programs can turn these strengths into a career – from your careers advisor to your family, friends and teachers.
Research
Research the degree programs that take you on your career path. Gather as much information as you can about the programs you are considering and the career it will lead to. A good place to start is with UNSW faculties.
Speaking with current students gives you the best idea of what it is like to study the degree and the student life. Ask the Student Recruitment Office to put you in touch with a current student studying the degree that you are considering.
Attend
Finally, be sure to attend UNSW events to learn more about what we have to offer. UNSW Open Day and Info Day are great opportunities to speak with faculty representatives, meet students and get a feel for the campus. Book a one-hour campus tour for a guided stroll around the campus to get a vibe for UNSW, tailored specifically for you to discover the information that you need.
Our Student Recruitment Office can help you think about which programs take you to where you want to be, put you in touch with current students and give you details about the next UNSW event – call us on (02) 9385 1844 or email studentrecruitment@unsw.edu.au
