Application process
The Non Award/Cross Institutional application process
The information below applies to domestic and international students applying to study on a Non Award voluntary or Cross Institutional basis at UNSW.
Application Assessment
On receipt of your application, the Admissions Office will register your application on the student database and you will be given a unique student ID number. You will also be given a unique application number for each application you submit to the University. Please quote these numbers in any correspondence you have with the University regarding your application/s.
The Admissions Office will check that you have provided all of the documentation and information required to assess your eligibility for admission. If all necessary documenation/information has been included with your application, it will be forwarded to the Facutly Program Authority for consideration.
If further documentation/information is required by the Admissions Offce, your application will be put on hold and you will be notified by email. Your application status will be set to WAITLIST. If you have not provided information about your previous studies because you are currently enrolled and waiting to receive results, please provide this information as soon as it becomes available. Your application will be kept on hold until this time.

Application decisions
Following the consideration of your application by the Program Authority, the Admissions Office will be advised of the decision and you will be emailed written notification of the outcome of your application.
Please note
The University will only assess applications for Non Award/Cross Institutional study from applicants who have previously undertaken or are currently enrolled in university level studies. Applications are assessed on the basis of academic merit and availability of places. UNSW award students will be given priority for any available places in a course.
