Arc
Studying at UNS W is about more than just attending classes and completing assignments. We want to enrich your student experience and provide you with services that can help you reach your goals. Arc @ UNSW offers you the chance to get involved in a range of activities and services that are unique to our University.
Arc is UNS W’s student organisation and we are here to help you get more out of your student life. Arc supports you throughout your degree by making university life a more interesting, fun, affordable and rewarding experience. Arc offers its Members various services and benefits including free legal advice, free or discounted entry to parties and live music events, as well as access to our valuable volunteer programs.
Events, Activities and Parties
Enjoy yourself throughout the year at one of the many
events, activities and parties hosted by Arc. Your social
calendar can include live music, pool competitions,
Oktoberfest, trivia and session parties. Our events are
a great way to meet new people and are always really
popular with UNS W students. If you want to have some
fun at uni, Arc has the best ways to keep you entertained.
Clubs and Societies
Joining one of Arc’s many clubs and societies and
meeting people means you’re having even more fun on
campus. Clubs include NUTS (NS W University Theatrical
Society), PuzzleSoc (yep, that’s right – a puzzle club!), the
Bike Club and CircuSoc (for circuses, of course). Meet
like-minded people and make friends for life!
Discounts and Benefits
Save loads of money throughout the year via a range of
discounts and benefits on and off campus. On campus,
get Green Splat Specials throughout the year at Arc retail
stores, plus specials at the Roundhouse Bar, Quad Food
Court and UNS W Bookshop. Members receive great
deals at a range of off-campus retailers that include
entertainment, fashion, health and beauty, food and
beverage, goods and travel services.
Volunteering
Getting involved in one of Arc’s volunteer programs
provides you with opportunities to develop new skills and
gain valuable work experience. As a volunteer you could
be working in outback Australia, teaching in Australian
schools or putting together a magazine for the UNS W
community. Volunteering is just another great way to
get active at UNS W while meeting new people and
experiencing new interests.
