The Games Countries Play: International Climate Change Policy

Dr Brian Fisher, who played a key role in advising Australia’s negotiating team at the Kyoto Climate Conference, will address some of the policy issues relating to climate change negotiations in a public lecture at UNSW on Wednesday.
Dr Fisher, who is the executive director of the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE), will give the 2002 Annual Lecture of ERDIC (the Energy Research Development and Information Centre).
Dr Fisher will provide an insight into how the government may approach future climate change negotiations and whether the current policy is consistent with Australia's long-term political and economic interests.
