Regulation in Cyberspace

0th December

Local and international cyberspace law experts will speak at a seminar this week on internet and e-commerce regulation. The seminar is hosted by the Baker & McKenzie Cyberspace Law and Policy Centre, which is based at the University of New South Wales.

Areas to be covered during the two-day seminar include international and national jurisdiction, cybercrime, defamation, race hate, privacy, sovereignty and online 'scams and spam'.

The seminar is part of the Centre's Cyberspace Law and Policy Series 2002, aimed at helping legal practitioners, researchers, policy developers and others keep abreast of cyberspace and internet legal issues. Media wishing to attend any of the sessions, or arrange interviews with participants, are invited to contact the university's media unit or the executive director of the Centre, David Vaile.
