EDWARD DE BONO: A NEW APPROACH TO INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

0th December

Dr Edward de Bono, a world leader in the field of creative thinking, will speak at UNSW this week on the need to re-think international affairs and the role of the United Nations, in the light of the growing Iraqi crisis.

Dr de Bono will focus on the implications of the US led war on terror and the increasing hostility of President George Bush towards Saddam Hussein, as well as the significance of the Johannesburg summit on sustainable development. He will argue for a new approach to international affairs and for 'new thinking' to revitalise the UN.

Dr de Bono is the world-renowned originator of 'lateral and parallel thinking'. Over the past 30 years he has worked with major corporations and governments in 54 countries, and has held faculty appointments at Oxford, Harvard and Cambridge. He is the author of 65 books, which have been translated into 37 languages.

The free public lecture is organised by the UNSW United Nations Society. For further information and bookings, visit the Web site.
