AGSM this week became the first business school in Australia to be awarded international accreditation by the Association of Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The AACSB is widely regarded as the world's premier, independent agency for business administration and accounting degree programs.
After a rigorous assessment process, AACSB grants accreditation to institutions that meet the highest quality standards across a range of criteria, including curriculum, faculty, teaching and research.
Only a handful of business schools outside North America have attained AACSB accreditation - 14 in Europe, four in Asia, three in South and Central America, and two in the Middle East.
AGSM Dean & Director, Professor Michael Vitale, said: "International accreditation by the AACSB places AGSM in the company of other world-class business schools like Wharton, Kellogg, London Business School and Stanford.
"This accreditation assures AGSM students of our commitment to providing world-class quality standards in management education, which are widely accepted and adopted by the business community.
"It is particularly pleasing for us to have achieved this in our 25th anniversary year."
