A fundraising exhibition of art and design works by College of Fine Arts staff and postgraduate students, who include leading and emerging Australian artists, opens this week. All proceeds from the shows at the Ivan Dougherty Gallery and Kudos Gallery will go towards the redevelopment of the COFA campus.
The first fundraising exhibition in 2002 involved artists who had shown at Ivan Dougherty Gallery during its first 25 years. This elicited the support of artists of all generations and brought development of the proposed UNSW Art Museum to the fore.
“This year’s exhibition is larger and more ambitious in scope. Many thanks to staff and postgraduates who have so generously donated work, and to their galleries for waiving commission,” COFA Dean Professor Ian Howard said.
