UNSW is a finalist in three categories of the Federal Government's 2004 Australian Awards for University Teaching.
The University is a finalist in the Institutional Awards category for its 'enhancement of the quality of teaching and learning' within the institution.
Professor Joe Wolfe from the School of Physics has been nominated in the Physical Sciences and Related Studies category.
Ms Sue Green, acting director of the Nura Gili Student Centre, which brings together the University's major Indigenous programs, has been nominated for the Neville Bonner Award.
The Australian Awards for University Teaching were established in 1997 and celebrate and reward excellence in university teaching. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Parliament House in Canberra on 30 November.
The 2004 Awards are sponsored by The Australian.
