Meet the CEO - Roger Corbett

Roger Corbett, CEO of Woolworths, appeared "in conversation" with some five hundred alumni, students and staff last week in the final Meet the CEO event for 2004.

The event, staged in Leighton Hall, saw Roger interviewed by Helen Trinca, editor of AFR Boss Magazine, as well as taking questions from the floor. In a wide- ranging discussion, he canvassed subjects from the challenges of retail in a duopoly to how he deals with stray Woolworths trolleys.

The Meet the CEO series is organised by the Faculty of Commerce and Economics. Previous guests have included Sir Richard Branson, Wesfarmers' Michael Chaney and Gail Kelly of St George Bank.
