MEDIA, NEWS & EVENTSPublic exhibition shows degrees of ingenuity14 November 2005 7º is the name of a free public exhibition that celebrates emerging design talent. 7º springs from the imaginations of final-year students from seven programs in the Faculty of the Built Environment at the University of New South Wales. It is an exhibition of work by Architecture, Interior Architecture, Science (Architecture), Planning and Urban Development, Industrial Design, Landscape Architecture and Building Construction Management graduands. While the projects themselves are often flights of fancy in their brief, they are situated on real sites, and present real challenges similar to those challenges one might encounter in life as a professional. The exhibition features models of novel new products from industrial design students, the vision of architectural students for Sydney landmarks, elegant plans for transforming the landscape and solid solutions to some of the planning problems that plague our cities.
