The future is here

Sustainable kitchen sink design by Ainslie Asher
The next generation of made-in-Australia designers, architects and planners will be on display when the Faculty of the Built Environment hosts their annual graduand exhibitions.

The exhibitions feature final-year projects ranging from a kitchen sink that recycles its own water, to a hotel that is to be suspended underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and a connective eco park in Penrith. All are innovative and offer an exciting glimpse of the designs of the future.

“Young designers are important because we aren’t restricted by a typical idea of what design is,” says Alexandra James, a graduating Interior Architecture student.

“We have been exposed to so many different aspects of architecture and design during our time at UNSW, and are now carving out our own individual design philosophies to take with us and apply within the professional realm”.

The exhibitions are open to the public. For more information please click here.
