This ASHM-led project aims to address systemic barriers, stigma and discrimination to increase access to the health system by people at risk of or living with hepatitis B, hepatitis C or HIV. The project will progress in two major stages: in year one, interventions aimed at reducing stigma, discrimination and structural barriers will be trialled with specific health services in Australia; in year two, the interventions that have proved beneficial will be rolled out more broadly across the health system in Australia. CSRH will complete a literature review and develop a framework around interventions to address systematic barriers, stigma and discrimination among these populations, besides providing input into the interventions and conducting some qualitative work among people with late diagnoses.
