Jingduan is a doctoral candidate and level A (associate) lecturer & teaching fellow in the School of Accounting, Auditing and Taxation. His research primarily focuses on international accounting and debt markets. His PhD project investigates the impact of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on debt covenants.

Before commencing his PhD, he received a Bachelor's degree in Economics (High Distinction), a Master's degree in Accounting (Graduation with Excellence) and a Master of Philosophy in Accounting at UNSW. He also spent several years working as a finance analyst. He aims to pursue an academic career after graduation.

He has received various awards and scholarships during both his undergraduate and postgraduate studies. These included the Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship (RTP) with UNSW Business School Supplementary Scholarship, Bill Stewart Memorial Scholarship, Winner of 2020 UNSW Business School Student Research Fair Prize, Graduation with Excellence (Master) and First-Class People's Scholarship (Bachelor).

He has taught various courses (from level 1 to level 3) during the past six years as either a lecturer or a tutor. His teaching speciality is accounting, business, finance and corporate governance.

My Teaching

His teaching interests combine the areas of accounting, business, finance and corporate governance. He has six years' teaching experience and has taught over 1000 students as either a lecturer or a tutor.
