The 2024 Girls in Business (GiB) Camp is designed for female-identifying students in years 10, 11 or 12 from across NSW, who want to explore a future in business. This collaborative program with UNSW Business School and our industry partners aims to equip these students with the skills, desire, and ambition to study and work in the disciplines of:
- Banking and Finance
- Economics
- Information Systems and Technology Management
- Risk and Actuarial Studies
To provide students with an understanding of these study areas and to learn from inspiring female-identifying role models, we will be delivering workshops, info sessions and company site visits across 3 days, 16 – 18 July 2024:
- Day 1: Students will participate in various activities held at the UNSW Kensington campus
- Day 2: Students will visit industry partners in Sydney CBD
- Day 3: Students will participate in a case competition capstone and learn about the different UNSW enrolment pathways.
This opportunity allows students to network with like-minded high school students across New South Wales. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of these fields and learn from inspiring female-identifying role models while exploring what life as a UNSW Business School student could be like.
When is it?
Our 2024 camp will be held in person at the UNSW Sydney Randwick Campus over 3 consecutive days: 16th, 17th and 18th July. Morning tea and lunch will be provided for participants joining us on campus. You can register for the 2024 camp now.
Who can attend?
This program is open to any year 10, 11 or 12 female-identifying high school students in New South Wales who are genuinely interested in studying Banking and Finance, Economics, Information Systems and Technology Management, Risk and Actuarial Studies at UNSW Business School. It is strongly recommended that students who participate in this program are studying mathematics.

What’s involved?
The camp will allow students to gain an in-depth understanding of the worlds of Banking and Finance, Economics, Information Systems and Technology Management, Risk and Actuarial Studies through:
- Interactive workshops delivered by UNSW Academic staff and Women in Business student ambassadors
- Real-world insights through an Alumni panel discussion with Q&A along with Industry site visits
- UNSW Business School student networking opportunity
- UNSW Business School program pathway and future student opportunities information session
Participants will also have the chance to network with like-minded high school students across New South Wales in a fun and relaxed environment.
