Dr Lu Wang is a Lecturer and core member of the China International Business and Economic Law (CIBEL) Centre at the Faculty of Law and Justice, UNSW Sydney. She has been teaching and researching in the areas of international law, international investment law and dispute resolution, international arbitration, and Chinese regulation of international business. She has published in the above areas with leading national and international journals and also engaged in a few major research projects on Chinese investment treaties. Her current research project explores interactions between State-owned enterprises (SOEs) and the investment law regime.

Lu works closely with international organisations and key actors involved in the field of international trade and investment and is affiliated expert of the Asia Pacific FDI Network. She served as a co-guest editor of the ICSID Review – Foreign Investment Law Journal for its first Special Focus Issue on SOE and international investment law and was a Visiting Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge. Lu holds two PhDs from the University of Liverpool (UK) and Xi’an Jiaotong University (China).
