Global Business Practicum (COMM5020) Ho Chi Minh

Ho Chi Minh

7 January 2021 to 30 January 2021

The COMM5020 Global Business Practicum is an experiential and intensive for-credit course. It provides students the unique opportunity to gain international understanding, exposure and workplace skills through studying and working in a specified location overseas, usually in Asia.

The central component of the course is the opportunity to work in a small cross-disciplinary student consulting team on a genuine business issue of a client organisation, such as local branches of international financial, marketing and technology corporations. In addition, students will also attend master classes by local industry leaders, government officials and academic experts and learn about the local culture through fieldtrips to important cultural landmarks.

COVID-19 Update

The UNSW Business School is closely monitoring the current global COVID-19 pandemic and following the university’s approach to maintain a considered, evidence-based position guided at all times by public health experts and government advice.

As restrictions remain in place, the travel component for the Global Business Practicum in Ho Chi Minh will not go ahead in 2021. However, we will be offering a virtual experience delivered in Sydney. This virtual experience will offer remote engagement with your host company to complete projects, cultural activities, networking opportunities and most importantly your progression won’t be impacted. The GBP Virtual Experience will be delivered completely online in 2021.
