Social entrepreneurs use business thinking and processes to develop operating models aimed at creating positive social outcomes for people in need.
The Social Entrepreneurship Practicum (COMM5030) is designed to integrate theory with experiential practice and involves authentic engagement with partner organisations. It enables students to develop professional skills while working in a team on a real social entrepreneurship project.
Students will work with industry, social enterprises, not-for-profits and foundations to develop and conduct a variety of applied projects in different areas of social entrepreneurship.
This program is offered in terms 1, 2 and 3, as well as in an intensive mode during the summer session.
