Professor Glenn joined UNSW Civil and Environmental Engineering in November 2019. She is an expert in remote sensing of the environment, with a focus on lidar and imaging spectroscopy (hyperspectral). Much of her remote sensing work has been developed in dryland ecosystems. She is an interdisciplinary scientist and engineer, and facilitates student research centered around remote sensing and across a range of fields including ecology, hydrology, earth science, and engineering. She especially enjoys mentoring students and early-career faculty through the research process and project management.
An award-winning researcher, Professor Glenn has won over $US25 million in research grant funding. She is also a Licensed Professional US engineer.
