Description of field of research:
This project is a cross-over between hardware/software development and signal processing algorithms. The goal is to set up and test the radar systems in the Radar and Sensor Array Lab to permit the use of radar in various applications, such as health monitoring, steel fibre reinforced concrete monitoring, joint radar communications, and radar target detection.

The project will be conducted in the Radar and Sensor Array Lab in collaboration with members of the radar signal processing group.
The project will:
- Set up and validate the operation of the radar systems.
- Develop a user interface that makes their operation friendly to the non-expert in radar.
- If time permits, develop and experiment with signal processing algorithms for one application.
