Graphs/networks are naturally used in many applications to model the intricate relationships among objects. These applications include public health, social networks, e-commerce, cybersecurity, defense and many more. In this project, we will look into structure based analysis of large scale graphs. Some topics include:

  • community search in social networks
  • robustness analysis of networks
  • fraud / anomaly detection in networks
  • biological networks

The project will involve working with the members of the Data and Knowledge Research Group: https://unswdb.github.io/

The expected outcomes of the project will be either

  1. a demonstration of an existing work where the source codes for the techniques are available.
  2. a research article that investigates a research problem with novel solutions.
  3. preparation of data.
