This free, public lecture, given by Associate Professor Christy Newman of the UNSW Centre for Social Research in Health and part of the 2018 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival, will present the rich accounts of what family means to LGBTQ+ research participants and how they have overcome continuing prejudices to forge a sense of resilience and belonging in the context of family life.
