The brief aims builds on the information shared in the note provided by the PrepCom Secretariat on financial resources and mechanism’, specifically focusing and providing options for: Institutional Arrangements, Contributions, Operational Modalities, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Coherence and Complementarity.

It provides examples based on an assessment of the following eight multilateral environmental funds:

  • Adaptation Fund
  • Green Climate Fund (GCF)
  • Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD)
  • Special Climate Change Fund (SCCF)
  • Land Degradation Neutrality Fund (LDN Fund)
  • Cali Fund
  • Gavi Fund
  • Multilateral Fund.
