2021 CPHCE Annual Forum was held online on Wednesday 13th October 2021 at 9am -11:30am. 

The CPHCE Forum is an annual opportunity for friends and colleagues to catch up with CPHCE’s research, provide input into our future directions, and network with primary health care professionals from all over Australia.

This year's theme is 'Co design', keynote speaker Professor Victoria Palmer from Melbourne Medical School, University of Melbourne presented the 2021 Ian Webster “Health for All” Oration.  Her presentation topic was 'If you want something new, you have to stop doing something old’ – the innovation challenge in the co-design of health services'.  

In the second session of the forum, Kathryn Thorburn from CPHCE & Shifra Waks, casual Researcher from CPHCE both presented 'Lessons learned through co-design in primary care'.  Sabuj Kanti Mistry, PhD candidate from CPHCE presented 'Learning from a codesign exercise aimed at developing a navigation intervention in general practice setting'.  Finally, Dr Uday Narayan Yadav presented ' Lessons learned through a co-design process to deliver a self-management intervention for people with multi-morbid Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease in rural Nepal'.  

Panel member discussion was participated with Dr Anthony Brown, Executive Director, Health Consumers NSW; Shifra Waks, Casual Researcher, CPHCE,; Prof Rebecca Ivers, Head, School of Population Health, UNSW, and Dr Peri O’Shea, Lived Experience Researcher and UNSW.  

Finally, four CPHCE Awards was announced by Professor Mark Harris.
