Are you passionate about improving access to testing services for infectious diseases in disadvantaged populations?

This PhD scholarship offers the opportunity to conduct impactful research for underserved populations, focusing on innovative solutions and effective partnerships to enhance access to testing for infectious diseases. 

The successful candidate will explore key areas of study which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Effective engagement of civil society, private sector, and other community stakeholders to scale up the coverage of testing for infectious diseases.
  • Health system integration of digital health, including telemedicine and artificial intelligence, to support testing and treatment for infectious diseases.

We seek a highly motivated candidate with:

  • Strong experience and academic background in public health, global health, epidemiology, digital health, or a related field, proven by publications or research track record.
  • Experience in or a commitment to improving healthcare for disadvantaged populations.
  • Experience using mixed methods in public health research.

Scholarship

  • $38,438 per annum (2025 rate) for 3.5 years and a single top up of $10,000
