About this event

Running parallel to the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC)’s annual symposium, the inaugural NDARC Early Career Networking Event provides the perfect opportunity for Higher Degree Research (HDR) students and Early Career Researchers (ECR) to chat and network informally with peers and senior researchers in the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) sector. Invited senior researchers will include a selection of prominent academics from a variety of backgrounds who will share their career experiences and insights.

The program

The event will have three main components:

Between 2 - 4 pm, at the Kirby Institute Seminar Room

• A curated panel discussion with key senior researchers, who will share insights and advice drawing from their experiences, where audience members can ask questions;
• A facilitated session that encourages networking between HDRs, ECRs, and senior academics;

At 4 pm the event will transition to the Lounge until 6 pm for:

• A catered informal networking session.

Light refreshments and drinks will be provided.
