“An aesthetic of knowledge translation: Using body mapping to create and disseminate empirical research”

About the speaker:

Professor Boydell leads the Black Dog Institute Knowledge Translation Committee and is the dedicated expert for Knowledge Translation and Implementation Science at the Institute.  Prof Boydell’s program of research uses arts-based qualitative methods to create and disseminate research and to translate knowledge beyond academia. She is an internationally recognised leader in qualitative inquiry and arts-based knowledge translation in the early psychosis field. Professor Boydell has a long standing, successful history in the development of innovative methodological approaches to create knowledge and translate empirical research using arts-based methods. 

Additionally, Professor Boydell is also involved in Black Dog Institute Workplace Mental Health initiative through the Behind the Seen program. This program is aimed at improving physical and mental health among first responders to emergency situations.
