In honour of International Women's Day, we invite you to join us for a special discussion on the challenges that women who inject drugs face in receiving hepatitis C treatment and care due to gender-related barriers.
Heather Valerio will provide an epidemiological overview of the progress towards eliminating hepatitis C in Australia. She will also highlight the specific factors that influence testing and treatment among women who inject drugs. Alison Marshall will then present a qualitative study that investigates the gender-specific obstacles that women who inject drugs may encounter when seeking hepatitis C care. Danielle Russel will join the panel discussion and Q&A session following these presentations.
