This seminar will speak to some of the issues and opportunities concerning the use of predictive models in substance use prevention and care. There is an increasing focus on decision support tools to inform practice in substance use prevention and care, but there are several pitfalls in realizing the value of these tools. This presentation will provide examples from Ander’s PhD project, which is developing models for use in clinical settings.
