Novel analyses of various national data sources to understand current trends in cocaine and methamphetamine use, markets and harms.

About this event

Australia has generally recorded high prevalence of cocaine and methamphetamine use relative to many other countries. Significant shifts in these markets in Australia in recent years have impacted use and harms. This seminar will cover recent work from Drug Trends triangulating various data sources to understand emerging trends in use, markets and harms for cocaine and methamphetamine, and highlight potential public health implications.

About the speaker

Dr Amy Peacock (BA Hons, PhD) is a Senior Research Fellow at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, University of New South Wales. Amy is currently the Program Lead for Drug Trends, comprising the Illicit Drug Reporting System (IDRS), Ecstasy and Related Drugs Reporting System (EDRS), National Illicit Drug Indicators Program (NIDIP) and the Drug and New Technologies (DNeT) projects.
