Mrs Deena Amorelli

Deena Amorelli is the Chief HR Officer at the University of NSW.  As a results-driven executive, Deena has over 20 years’ experience in HR across the retail, hospitality, and higher education sectors. She has an extensive track record of partnering with senior leaders to deliver strategic and operational people objectives across multiple sites and organisational lines, ensuring the people agenda enables the business strategy and organisation's values at every stage. Deena’s experience includes leading large teams across Australia and New Zealand, delivering results in times of significant business transformation.

Deena’s breadth of experience extends across all disciplines in HR, with the employee experience remaining a central focus of the People and Culture teams she leads.  With undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Psychology, Deena enjoys the varied experiences and perspectives that diverse teams bring, and is passionate about working with leaders to deliver outcomes which lead to success at an organisational, team and individual level.
