School of Chemistry

Diana is a multi-award-winning scholar, women in STEM ambassador, young entrepreneur, and professional musician. She is currently completing a PhD in Chemistry as a Fulbright Future and Scientia Scholar at UNSW Sydney. Her PhD research aims to develop new methods and chemical instrumentation that can improve the speed and accuracy of disease diagnosis.

Diana is passionate about increasing female representation and leadership in STEM and growth of research translation and commercialisation in the university sector. She has served in numerous scientific and leadership positions including as a scientific presenter where she has conducted over 80 science workshops across NSW, and as Vice-President of UNSW Postgraduate Council (2020-21) where she was responsible for overseeing 1,000+% growth in postgraduate engagement. She is currently serving as Early Career Representative on the Executive Board of Science & Technology Australia.

Diana holds dual first-class honours degrees and the University Medal in Bachelor of Advanced Science and Bachelor of Music, and has co-authored 11 peer-reviewed publications in music psychology and analytical chemistry.
