My broad research interest is evolutionary ecology, behaviour, population & conservation genetics. I am fascinated by the interplay between genetics, fitness and population dynamics in a variety of taxa. I also have a keen interest in the evolutionary and ecological forces that maintain or erode biodiversity. My PhD research was on the relationship between fitness, population viability and genetic variation of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC). I am also a passionate teacher and enjoy to pass on my experience and skills to others.
