Toomas Tamm is a Senior Lecturer in Information Systems and Technology Management at the UNSW Business School and was previously a Research Fellow in the School of Computing and Information Systems at The University of Melbourne. Prior to entering academia, he worked in the retail and services sector as a sales consultant, web editor, and project manager.
Toomas’s research and teaching interests revolve around how organisations can make better digitally-enabled decisions. His research focuses on two interrelated areas: (1) strategic technology investment decisions (particularly the decision processes and approaches for improving these processes and outcomes) and (2) digitisation of organisational decision-making (particularly how to combine human judgment with decision support and automation technologies to improve decision outcomes). His key teaching areas include digital strategy and IT management, IT consulting, digitally-enabled innovation, and enterprise applications.
