Dr. Wanjie Xie is a Research Associate working under the supervision of Prof. Kourosh Kalantar-Zadeh at the Center for Advanced Solid and Liquid based Electronics and Optics (CASLEO, http://www.casleo.unsw.edu.au) in the School of Chemical Engineering. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM), Deakin University under the supervision of Dr. Lu Sun, Dr. Dan Liu and Prof. Xungai Wang. Her Ph.D. study was focused on designing functional composites and polymers based on melanin pigment. She also visited University of New Hampshire as a visiting scholar during her Ph.D. Her current research is focused on developing functional materials and bio-materials based on liquid metal.
