Dr Zofia Bednarz is a Research Associate with the Centre for Law, Markets and Regulation.
Zofia's research focuses on commercial law and technology, company law and consumer contracts. Zofia has published both in English and Spanish on information duties in electronic consumer contracts, consumers' right of withdrawal and unfair commercial practices, as well as blockchain technology and company law. Zofia specialises in comparative and European Union Law. Currently, Zofia is researching issues related to the use of AI- and Big Data-powered analytics and provision of financial services to consumers.
Prior to joining the Centre for Law, Markets and Regulation, Zofia was a lecturer in commercial law at the Law Faculty of University of Málaga, where she taught commercial contracts, insolvency and company law in Spanish and in English at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Zofia is also a qualified lawyer in Spain and holds a graduate degree in law from the University of Warsaw, Poland and a postgraduate degree in commercial law from the University of Málaga, Spain.
