An exciting overseas opportunity at the CTLS has opened up in 2027 for undergraduate Law or Juris Doctor students.
UNSW Law and Justice is a founding member of the Center for Transnational Legal Studies (CTLS), located in central London. Founded in 2008 as an initiative by the Georgetown University Law Centre, the CTLS comprises of 20 leading law schools with a shared commitment to addressing transnational issues and problems of international law.
If you're an undergraduate Law (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) student currently studying at UNSW, we have a fantastic opportunity for nine students to join the CTLS for a semester in 2027.
This will be a bespoke learning environment where the selected students will make professional connections and friends for life, all while learning from academics from some of the world's best law schools.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
This opportunity will take place from 6 January to 10 May 2027 in London at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies.
The CTLS comprises of 24 UOC across four courses with a pass/fail grade. Each course will be taught by leading teachers from top law schools in North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa, and attended by students from across the world.
The selected students will enrol in two courses (each worth 12 UOCs) at UNSW Law & Justice in Summer and Term 1 2027. Once selected, students will then need to plan accordingly for their other enrolment in 2027.
The selected students must fund their own airfare and accommodation in London, but there are no extra fees payable.
Thanks to the generous support of the Faculty of Law & Justice Endowment Fund, each selected student will receive a grant of AUD 2,000 towards their expenses for participation in the CTLS.
CTLS begins before the Term 2 2026 exam period ends. Should a selected student have an exam in that brief overlap period, UNSW Law & Justice will work with their course convenors to provide alternative assessment.
