I am a researcher, curator, sessional academic, editor and policy consultant. I am currently Curator, Newcastle Museum, and undertaking a PhD, seeking to answer the question "How was craft conceptualised, defined, and included in federal government arts and cultural policies at a national level between 1971 and 2011?”

I have worked in the arts and cultural sector in Australia for over 15 years and have held positions as Executive Director of 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, Co-Editor of the Journal of Australian Ceramics, and as consultant to a wide range of clients, including Creative Australia, Green Music Australia and Lake Macquarie City Council. I have presented widely at a range of national and international conferences including at the International Conference on Cultural Economics and the Australia and New Zealand Public Policy Network Conference.
