Australian Awards for University Teaching

AAUT poster
The Australian Awards for University Teaching were established in 1997 to celebrate and reward excellence in university teaching. From 1997 to 2005, outstanding teaching, whether by individuals or teams, was recognised and celebrated through these awards. These awards were coordinated by the Australian Universities Teaching Committee. In 2006 the awards scheme was expanded, coinciding with the formation of the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. The new awards scheme is referred to as the Carrick Awards for Australian University Teaching.
